SELECTED PROJECT
VIANSA WINERY
Compliance Issues Solved: Facility and Site Master Plan, with Winery Addition
CHALLENGEAfter the purchase of the
winery the new owners needed to bring the entire facility into compliance
with its use permit, the Williamson Act, and current accessibility
codes. They needed to do all this without jeopardizing their ability
to host the large events that are important to the winery and its
business plan.
SOLUTION The Fifth Resource Group
was able to provide a facility plan that
handled all of the concerns within the budget
the owners had set forth. The plan included
the construction of a new estate winery,
wine education center, onsite wastewater
treatment facility, and accessibility upgrades.
Designed to fit in with the existing marketplace
architecture of the Tuscany aesthetic.
RESULTS The
winery was brought in to compliance and The
Fifth Resource Group successfully negotiated
for Viansa to be able to have the same number
and size of events as they had held under
the previous use permit. This project strengthens
the wineries relationship with its wine club
members and provides the facilities onsite
for Viansa to move to the next level with
its business plan.
