RADOUX COOPERAGE MAKES ITS FIRST BARREL IN ITS NEW FACILITY

Today Tonnellerie Radoux USA Inc. started making barrels in its new facility at 480 Aviation Blvd., Santa Rosa. Radoux USA leased 24,171sf of a 100,000sf Panattoni Development Company complex.

The Fifth Resource, Inc.'s Jim Ford, Project Manager and Ed Sohl, Architect coordinated the project from site selection through design of Radoux's building improvements to move-in. With the goal of getting on par with other top French-owned cooperages in the United States working with American oak, Radoux's move will allow for more than a three-fold increase in production and better quality control.

The Aviation Boulevard location includes the installation of a track system to transport barrels between coopering stations. In the past coopers have had to roll the barrels one by one from one stage of the coopering process to another. The track system allows one cooper to move several at a time, greatly increasing efficiency.
